Speaker

Mary Anne Morris is, and has been, the Education Director for Houston Audubon since 2000 and runs Houston Audubon’s Raptor and Education Center in southeast Houston.  An honor graduate from Virginia Tech with a degree in Forestry and Wildlife Biology, with a minor in Geography, Mary Anne has been teaching about birds for over 30 years and presents more than 300 programs a year.  She travels with “feathered” teaching ambassadors who are the “spokesbirds” for the avian world.   In her past she lectured on bird conservation and presented teacher workshops on migratory birds at the Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman, as well as teaching school-aged children and serving as a bird educator at Zoo Montana.
